If using a subwoofer in your setup, the fixed 100Hz crossover (low pass to the sub and high pass to the speakers) makes it easier to blend the sub and mains. If there is no subwoofer in your setup, the bass have been designed to give a boost that matches the roll off down to about 48 Hz . At max setting, it will give about a 2-3 dB bump at 48 Hz, relative to 100 Hz. So, with or without a subwoofer, the Gizmo will provide real-world performance.
The design principle behind this approach means the mains are not burdened with trying to play the bass and that tends to clear up the mid-bass and midrange performance. The benefit of going in this direction is that the load on the amp is reduced giving you a whole lot more for your 25 watts.
Currently available in brushed aluminum (with an acrylic face plate) and featuring a furniture quality rosewood cap, the Gizmo will provide all the power you need to drive a 2.0 system (with a pair of WAF-1 speakers) for your computer setup, office system, the bedroom or 2-channel hideaway without compromise or disappointment.
